We continue to strengthen ties between science and industry

On September 11-14, 2023, the XVIII Interstate Conference "Thermoelectrics and their Applications" was held in St. Petersburg with the participati

on of INNO–MIR. The conference was organized in cooperation and on behalf of our long-time partner, the A.F. Ioffe Institute of Physics and Technology.

For many years, this event has been a unique platform for discussion and exchange of opinions and ideas among those who deal with fundamental problems of thermoelectric energy conversion, develop new efficient materials and devices.

And in 2023, a round table "Current applied problems in the field of thermoelectric transformation -interaction of science and industry" was organized within the framework of the conference. The round table was attended by representatives of business (JSC "RIF", JSC "NIKIET", LLC "RMT", LLC "THERMOINTECH", LLC "Technoindustria NO", LLC "RUSTEK", LLC "Cryotherm", LLC "Ecogen"), scientific organizations (FTI named after A.F. Ioffe, FSUE RFNC-VNIIEF, MISIS, SPBPU, IMET RAS, IAPA of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (FEB RAS), IFM UrO RAS, NRU "BelSU") and ROSATOM state Corporation. Among the issues raised, the issue of closer cooperation between science and industry was raised, and the problem of the lack of an intermediate link between fundamental research in the field of thermoelectricity and experimental small-scale production was also discussed.

As a result of the round table, it can be noted the emergence of new contacts between business and science, as well as an agreement on closer cooperation between the Ioffe Institute of Physics and the ROSATOM State Corporation.
